Pastured Meats 

At Our Farm Organics all our animals are raised outdoors, with the highest regard for their needs and their impact on the environment. We allow animals to be the creatures they are meant to be, and so we raise them in a way that does not compromise their dignity, or that of the environment. We strive to give them a happy stress-free life, feeding them only high quality feeds, and allowing them complete access to green forages. No preventative medications, or hormones. Check with us for availability. 

 

Grass-fed Beef 


We raise a variety of heritage cattle. Our beef is 100% grass fed and grass-finished, they are raised outside year round. In the spring/summer/and fall they are rotationally grazed on our lush pastures with access to mineral, salt and water. They spend the winter outside with shelter from the elements and access to our certified stored hay, fresh water, salt. Being outside in the winter with shelter is healthier for them than staying in a humid and warm barn. They are processed at Country Fresh Packers in Tilbury, a small certified facility that is nearby for a low stress transport.


We sell our grass-fed beef in 20 lb Mix Grass-fed Beef; each bundle will give you an assortment of steaks such as sirloin, T-bone,rib steaks, striploin, etc., as well as a couple roasts (sirloin tip, prime rib, pot roasts), perhaps some short ribs, and also lots of ground beef and stewing beef.

 

 

 

 

 

Pastured Pork 

Our pigs are born and raised here on the farm and live outdoors year round with access to a comfortable warm barn in the winter and plenty of shade in the summer months . We use no hormones or antibiotics. Our pigs are not considered organic as we use spent grains from chapter 2 brewery, pumpkins in the fall and local apples. We made this decision because we seen of lot of perfectly good sources of food going  into the landfill. They are processed at Country Fresh Packers in Tilbury, a small certified facility that is nearby for a low stress transport, or 4D sausage is Essex

 

20 lb Pastured Raised Heritage Pork Samplers are available; Samplers include chops, steaks, sausage, roasts, ham, ribs and bacon (may vary) as well as indivdual cuts in the little farm store. 

 

Pastured Chickens 

We are certified Ontario artisanal growers. Our chickens are raised outside on pasture between May – October and are all fed certified organic grain.  Our chickens raised on pasture are succulent and flavourful.  Available fresh if you pick up here at the farm on "chicken days" in the summer and fall, or frozen there after. 

 

Free Range Eggs 

Once you have had “real” chicken you cannot go back! Chickens raised on pasture are succulent and flavourful. Our chickens are all fed certified organic grain. We are certified Ontario artisanal growers. Available fresh if you pick up at the farm on "chicken days" in the summer and fall, or frozen there after.
